Elle se souvient que lorsqu&rsquo;elle \u00e9tait enfant, elle mangeait des prunes \u00e0 sati\u00e9t\u00e9 dans la ferme de sa tante, tout en entendant des histoires de personnes qui n&rsquo;avaient pas de quoi manger, \u00e0 seulement 200 km de l\u00e0. C&rsquo;est ce qui l&rsquo;a pouss\u00e9e \u00e0 \u00e9tudier le commerce et l&rsquo;agriculture, dans l&rsquo;espoir de d\u00e9velopper des march\u00e9s et des infrastructures qui permettraient aux agriculteurs d&rsquo;acc\u00e9der aux march\u00e9s pour leurs produits et aux consommateurs d&rsquo;avoir acc\u00e8s \u00e0 toute la nourriture dont ils ont besoin.<\/p>\n<p>Mme Gacoki est aujourd&rsquo;hui une experte en d\u00e9veloppement international dont l&rsquo;exp\u00e9rience couvre le commerce r\u00e9gional, la gouvernance, le secteur bancaire et la recherche. Elle a soutenu la cr\u00e9ation d&rsquo;environnements favorables aux entreprises par le biais de la planification du d\u00e9veloppement, en renfor\u00e7ant divers secteurs qui ont un impact profond sur le d\u00e9veloppement et a travaill\u00e9 avec des entreprises et des institutions pour les rendre durables dans l&rsquo;impact qu&rsquo;elles cr\u00e9ent.
