priorit\u00e9 aux plantations foresti\u00e8res, souvent au d\u00e9triment de la pr\u00e9servation de la biodiversit\u00e9. Si les initiatives de conservation des for\u00eats indig\u00e8nes ont d\u00e9but\u00e9 dans les ann\u00e9es 1980, avec des initiatives notables telles que le Kenya Indigenous Forest Conservation Programme (KIFCON) dans les ann\u00e9es 1990, la collecte de donn\u00e9es sur la biodiversit\u00e9 reste faible. Les r\u00e9formes de la loi sur les for\u00eats de 2005 (r\u00e9vis\u00e9e en 2016) visent \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer la conservation de la biodiversit\u00e9, mais elles n&rsquo;ont pas encore \u00e9t\u00e9 mises en place de mani\u00e8re efficace. Ce document met en lumi\u00e8re le r\u00f4le des diff\u00e9rentes parties prenantes dans la gestion et la protection des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes forestiers. Il montre comment les communaut\u00e9s riveraines des for\u00eats, par l&rsquo;interm\u00e9diaire des associations foresti\u00e8res communautaires, continuent de donner la priorit\u00e9 aux plantations \u00e0 des fins de revenus et d&rsquo;alimentation, au d\u00e9triment de la biodiversit\u00e9. Il met en \u00e9vidence le manque de collaboration entre des acteurs tels que le Service des for\u00eats du Kenya et l&rsquo;Autorit\u00e9 des ressources en eau, ainsi que la sous-utilisation des donn\u00e9es biologiques pour le suivi, ce qui accentue le probl\u00e8me. Le rapport propose de combler les insuffisances en mati\u00e8re d&rsquo;enregistrement et de gestion de la biodiversit\u00e9 foresti\u00e8re, en particulier du point de vue des pratiques de
