une strat\u00e9gie quinquennale visant \u00e0 assurer la gestion durable et la conservation des 20 215,37 hectares de cette for\u00eat situ\u00e9e dans le comt\u00e9 d\u2019Elgeyo Marakwet, au Kenya. Class\u00e9e en 1964, elle comprend les blocs de Chemurgoi, Koisungur, Kipteber et Kerer, et est plac\u00e9e sous la responsabilit\u00e9 du Service forestier du Kenya (KFS).<\/p>\n<p>\u00c9labor\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019issue de consultations inclusives r\u00e9unissant les communaut\u00e9s locales, les institutions publiques et les autorit\u00e9s environnementales, et financ\u00e9 par le Fonds pour l\u2019eau Eldoret Iten, ce plan privil\u00e9gie une approche collaborative. Il vise \u00e0 restaurer les zones d\u00e9grad\u00e9es, \u00e0 prot\u00e9ger les bassins versants, \u00e0 promouvoir la conservation de la faune et \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer les moyens de subsistance par l\u2019agroforesterie et l\u2019exploitation durable des ressources foresti\u00e8res. Port\u00e9 par une ambition partag\u00e9e d\u2019excellence en gestion foresti\u00e8re, le PFMP s\u2019aligne sur la Loi de 2016 relative \u00e0 la conservation et \u00e0 la gestion des for\u00eats. Ses orientations strat\u00e9giques incluent les plantations d\u2019enrichissement, l\u2019\u00e9ducation foresti\u00e8re, la gestion am\u00e9lior\u00e9e des plantations et une utilisation raisonn\u00e9e des ressources en eau, afin d\u2019assurer la pr\u00e9servation des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes et du bien-\u00eatre communautaire.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/p><\/div><div
