gestion durable des 23 350,7 hectares de la for\u00eat de Cheptongei, qui comprend les blocs de Kapchemutwa, Sogotio, Cheboyit et Kipkunur. Class\u00e9e entre 1941 et 1967, la for\u00eat est g\u00e9r\u00e9e par le Service forestier du Kenya (KFS), via la station foresti\u00e8re de Cheptongei. Son \u00e9laboration s\u2019est appuy\u00e9e sur une vaste consultation des parties prenantes, incluant l\u2019Association communautaire foresti\u00e8re de Cheptongei, les agences publiques (KWS, NEMA, WRA) et le gouvernement du comt\u00e9 d\u2019Elgeyo Marakwet, avec un financement du Fonds pour l\u2019eau Eldoret Iten. Le plan vise un \u00e9quilibre entre conservation et d\u00e9veloppement local, dans un cadre participatif renfor\u00e7ant \u00e0 la fois la protection de la for\u00eat et les moyens de subsistance des communaut\u00e9s. L\u2019objectif est de faire de Cheptongei une for\u00eat bien pr\u00e9serv\u00e9e, au service de la tourbi\u00e8re d\u2019eau de Cherangany et au-del\u00e0.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/p><\/div><div
